Luis Steigleder is an emerging fashion and textile designer who places a strong focus on craftsmanship, sustainability, and durability in his work.

The name Steigleder refers to a functional leather strap traditionally used to mount a horse – a symbol that reflects his design approach: clear, handcrafted, and rooted in material awareness.

Most of his pieces are carefully handmade and deliberately created as one-of-a-kind items – a conscious alternative to mass production and fast fashion. Material always plays a central role. He primarily works with industrial surplus materials, especially leather sourced from upholstery and shoe manufacturing.

As a queer-friendly designer, Luis Steigleder sees fashion not just as a product, but as a space for identity, diversity, and self-expression.
